In 1992, seven families from the Randolph Evangelical Free Church began the adventure of planting a daughter church in Beaver Dam, which would soon become Harvest Evangelical Free Church. The early days found this committed core group meeting in the Beaver Dam Mall and eventually purchasing five acres of land on Hwy. 33 near the Dodge County Fair Grounds.
Our early growth…
Under the leadership of our first pastor, God’s grace enabled the body to build our present facility in three building phases beginning with a multi-use facility. Phase II provided office and educational space, and Phase III featured worship center, nursery rooms, and additional restrooms. During that time, we were able to complete our facility when we paved the parking lot, added landscaping and a sign, installed a projection system, and 400 chairs were added in our worship center. Phase I was also remodeled into an educational wing.
Today…
Harvest enjoys a very functional and inviting environment to welcome our community and nurture Christian ministry. We are a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America, a denomination of about 1,500 churches located throughout the United States. The term Evangelical refers to our commitment to the spreading of the Gospel and to our belief in the authority of the Bible as being without error and the only sufficient guide for faith and life. The term Free describes each local congregation as having the authority to govern its own affairs, but we hold to a common Statement of Faith, and our pastors are accountable for their lifestyle and teaching.
We offer contemporary worship and relevant teaching from the Bible. We also extend an invitation to those interested to join a small group that meets during the week for Bible study, spiritual growth, and community.
